Carpe diem?

I like Nandita's style of posting a lot. She will always have something to write about as long as she follows the same pattern. So I'm going to write in her style (plus punctuations minus SMS language) because I have nothing much to write about today. Here goes:

High point of the day: Still waiting for it. There was a brief moment of enlightenment during the prayer offered by the priest when he was talking about the meaning of life and death.

Low point of the day: Had to spend the entire day with my super-extended family where I knew only around 4 people (recognize them from somewhere before) and pretend to have known them all my life. Got a back-ache after touching so many people's feet, I actually ended up touching a distant cousin's feet who was younger than me!

Just a thought: A prisoner is not attached to the things he finds in jail - his cell which provides him shelter, his blanket which keeps him warm, the plate he eats food in, the cell-mates he has made friends out of. When the time comes to leave jail after completing his sentence, he has no remorse while leaving all these things behind because he never attached himself to them. They were a part of his life but he knew that a day would come when he had to leave all this behind, so there was no attachment. Death is not much different. You know you have to go one day. It's up to you to decide how much you want to attach yourself with the world.

Humming: Be Yourself (....is all that you can do) by Audioslave.

Regret: Didn't have a camera to take a picture of great granny's photograph in which she looks just the way I remember her to be.

Carpe Diem
Cheers
Sid
