It has been raining consistently for the past week. The showers are not what one can classify as either pouring or just drizzling. It's somewhere in the middle and it's really annoying. When you look out the window it seems that it's nothing to worry about but when you go out and start getting drenched, slowly but surely, it is really annoying. Especially for people like me who wear spectacles, really wish they had wipers of some kind sometimes. Talking about wipers, the ones on the car I'm driving these days are good only when it's raining heavily but leave smudges all over my side of the windshield when it's raining like what I just told you about. Frustrating as it is, wipers are something that don't make you go especially to the workshop for getting fixed. They aren't used that much, what's the point!
There was a birthday party today, which got delayed as usual. Absolutely nothing can ever go absolutely according to plan. First the person who was supposed to make most of the arrangements (ummm you know the cake+card+balloons+confetti routine, we still have that in a few parties, not today though) was grounded for no apparent reason. When she did manage to sneak out/get permission(?) she met with an accident while on her way to the place. I was told to come to a separate place due to the accident and had to wait for an hour alone while they got her some medical attention and a change of clothes. Fast forward to when we're all sitting down in a restaurant and are waiting for the food to arrive, I was made to walk in the neither-heavy-nor-drizzling rain all the way to my car on the other end of a neverending parking lot to fetch the gift. Birthday boy loved it (I'm good at picking out gifts), we had a nice time and well all's well that ends well.
Points: What's the point.
One-liner: You don't look half bad for someone twice your age.
