Music on my mind

I'm so used to blogger (which doesn't work here!!) saving my posts while I'm multitasking and writing 300 word posts in just under three hours. What I'm not used to is the Auto-Refresh feature InfyBlogs has. I was almost done with my post when I was distracted by something online followed by a phone call and by the time I got back to my post it was gone!

@#$%^*(&^!@#!@#$%@

It is so difficult to replicate the words which you already vomited once. Being the diligent blogger I am, here goes another try.

One of my friends told me that she has become so used to seeing me with my headphones that she has forgotten what I look like without them. Oh Come On! They're not on during class, well OK most of the time, before lunch at least, when the educator is blabbering and I am seated in the first row. It's very difficult for them to go unnoticed. She also went on to say that pretty soon she'll be so used to them that if she saw me without them it'll look I had ripped off a part of my face. Surely you're exaggerating now!

There is some truth in this though. Ever since I've bought the Panasonic RP-HS47 on-ear headphones (which are great by the way), I have never went anywhere without them. And when I say never, I mean NEVER. Either they are tucked in my pocket or my bag when I have to pretend to pay attention in class or hanging around my neck for the rest of the time. If you see someone in the campus with red and silver headphones (I thought they were black when I bought them but red is cool too) headbanging, air-guitaring and air-drumming (if there is such a thing) away to glory, you know who he is. He can be found in and around the Gecko during working hours, around the ECC before 9pm and again at the Gecko until the wee hours of the morning. Rest of the time he is in his room (no he doesn't wear them when he is in his room, not always) or at the Gazebo. Special appearances at the Laundromat once a week too.

Am I in danger of going deaf? I don't have it on full blast unless I'm in the gym because the music there just gives me a headache. And my super-modest collection of 220 songs does not entirely consist of Heavy Metal amd Gothic music so I guess (read hope) I'm safe.

I need more songs!! I have heard each one of those 220 songs at least that many times and I'm on the verge of figuring out the Shuffle algorithm which my phone uses! I use up a fully charged Nokia battery everyday. And the only other thing I do is SMS. I'm guessing atleast 10 hours of music playback each day, at least.

But I can't help it. There's nothing better to occupy my mind with.
