Welcome!
This is what it looks like from the outside.
This is our driveway/cricket pitch.
Needless to say this is the wicket.
These are our coconut trees. One of them has fresh green ones and the other one has dead yellow ones. The latter is the only one that yields any, of course when it is least expected. We're thinking about putting a heads-up sign.
This is the main door. We have two sets of keys, the third one is with the neighbour in case we get locked out by mistake (has happened twice, luckily someone was inside on both occasions).
This is the lobby (?) where we keep our shoes and other junk that we bring in.
No shoes allowed beyond this point.
This is the door to Kapil's room. Since people are asleep inside, I didn't think I should disturb them for taking a pic. It's a nice room all the same.Moving on......
This is the door to our room.Open says-me.
This is the bed which is placed for optimal air circulation from the fan. Notice the ledge which comes in very handy.
The laundry bags are courtesy the habit we picked up from the Infy rooms. They are convenient. The door at the corner leads to an attached bathroom as below.
OK, it's more of a loo than a bathroom. The ad said attached bathroom. What the hell, we are not complaining.
The cupboard. Oh and I forgot to mention the ummm green board with light fixtures and the mirror in the middle. Nice touch, we just added the mirror.Moving out into the hall etc.....
This is our living room, dining hall. That is Rochak on our 'sofa'. Bean bags coming soon.
This is the TV as is evident.
This is the corridor a little down the hall to the right, which leads to the bathroom and the other loo.
The Bathroom.
The other loo.
This is the shelf in the wall (a bit messy at the moment) which has food at the top (coincidence?), then the shaving kits, deos etc, then the mini-library, the extended library containing study material (mostly untouched), then sports stuff and junk at the bottom.
Makeshift safe on the opposite wall. Mostly contains documents and stuff. The door leads to the kitchen.
Make that a well-equipped kitchen (it was empty when we first stepped in).
Make that a very well-equipped kitchen.
And roomy! That is the last bit of indoors there is to show. Let's step outside again.
The stairs leading to the terrace.
The first part of the terrace.
The better half.
Our coconut trees, you can see the green ones.Going back down to the other side of the house.
The garden (OK now I'm pushing it, but what else do you call it?) and the narrow corridor leading to the old-style washing area.
An aerial view of the same.Phew! That's about it. This brings us to the end of our tour of My New Home in Mysore.
I leave you with a great view of the (almost) 22 yards of pure fun we're having these days. We also have lights outside for day-night matches (much to the dismay of our neighbours).

P.S. - This is also an open invitation to all readers to visit and stay in our humble abode for as long as they like.

@PT: it's close enough. drop in amytime darling, our doors are always open
@s.i.d.(yash): what LCD screen? we have a bloody 200W Videocon flatscreen that threatens to shatter all the glass windows in the neighbourhood if we dare to increase the volume above 10 on a 1-100 scale!!! You can even hear the sounds at zero volume if the room is quiet enough and am not even exaggerating!
